The terms on which we run this website and the sessions we offer. The first section is the important one and applies whether or not you read the rest.
Health notice - please read this part
Nothing we offer is medical treatment, and nothing on this site is medical advice.
Yoga, meditation, breathwork, massage, reflexology, reiki, energy work and coaching are complementary practices. They are not a diagnosis, not a prescription, and not a substitute for care from a doctor, physiotherapist, psychologist or psychiatrist.
Specifically:
- We do not treat, cure or manage any disease or condition, and no one working here is permitted to tell you otherwise.
- Do not stop or change any medication or treatment because of anything said in a session or written on this site. Talk to the person who prescribed it.
- If something is wrong, see a doctor. Our articles list the symptoms that mean this, and they mean it.
- In an emergency, seek emergency care. Do not book a session instead.
Tell us what is going on with you. Injuries, surgery, pregnancy, medication, heart or circulatory conditions, infections, skin conditions, allergies, and anything you are being treated for. We may adapt a session, or decline one, and both are us being careful. If you withhold something relevant, we cannot take responsibility for what follows.
Some of what we offer is not suitable for everyone. Manual lymphatic drainage in particular has genuine medical contraindications, described on the page for it. Several treatments are adapted or avoided in pregnancy. Ask before you book if you are unsure.
You may stop at any time. In any session, for any reason, without explaining. Say so and it stops.
The information on this site
Our articles are written carefully and in good faith. They are general information for a general reader, not advice about you.
They are not written by doctors, they can go out of date, and the descriptions of what practices do are drawn from experience and tradition rather than from clinical evidence. Where a common claim is not supported, we say so in the article rather than repeat it. Read them on those terms.
Prices, opening hours and the list of sessions can change. What we confirm to you when you book is what applies.
Booking, cancelling and paying
Booking is by WhatsApp, Instagram, email or in person. A session is confirmed when we confirm it, not when you send the message.
Cancelling. Please give us as much notice as you can. If you cannot make it, tell us - a session held for someone who does not arrive is a session another person could have had.
Late arrival shortens your session rather than the one after it.
Payment terms are the ones quoted to you when you book. Prices on this site are in US dollars and are indicative; the price you are given at booking is the price.
We may decline or end a session where it would be unsafe, where health information was withheld, or where a person is abusive to staff or other clients.
Booking a class or workshop online
Classes and workshops booked through the class booking page work a little differently from the booking methods above.
Choosing a session and submitting your details holds your spot for 3 days pending payment - it is not yet a confirmed booking. Pay using one of the methods shown on the confirmation screen (Revolut, Wise or Whish), and always include the reference code you are given so we can match your payment to your booking. If payment is not received within 3 days, the hold expires and the spot is released.
Cancelling a class or workshop booking you have already paid for is handled the same way as the Cancelling paragraph above: tell us as much in advance as you can.
Group classes
Arrive on time; you may not be admitted once a class has begun, out of fairness to the room. Follow the teacher's instructions, particularly about what to skip. Work within your own range - the person next to you is not the standard.
Using this website
You are welcome to read, quote and link to anything here. Please credit us and link back rather than reproducing a whole article.
Text, photographs and design on this site belong to Rise Flow Heal unless stated. Please do not use our photographs commercially without asking.
Do not attempt to break into, disrupt or scrape the site.
Links to other sites are for convenience. We are not responsible for what is on them.
What we are responsible for
We take our duty of care seriously and we insure our practice.
We are responsible for delivering your session with reasonable skill and care, by people trained to do it, and for taking proper account of what you tell us about your health.
We are not responsible for injury or loss arising from information you did not tell us, from ignoring an instruction given in a session, from continuing something that hurt rather than stopping, or from anything you decide to do about your medical treatment on the basis of something you read here.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Complaints
Tell us. Email riseflowheal@gmail.com or say it at the studio. A complaint about a session is worth more to us than a client who quietly stops coming, and it will be taken seriously.
Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which includes what we do with what you tell us about your health.
Law
These terms are governed by Lebanese law, and the courts of Beirut have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove protections available to you under the law of your own country.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date below shows when. The version in force is the one on this page when you book.
