September in Beirut is when a lot of people change address. Leases turn over, students arrive, someone finally moves out of a flat they never liked. Space clearing gets booked more this time of year than any other, usually by someone standing in a new apartment thinking: this doesn't feel like mine yet.
Who this is not for
If your problem is damp, a broken lock, a smell from the building next door, or a landlord who has not fixed the boiler, call a professional for that first. Space clearing works with how a room feels, not with what is structurally or physically wrong with it, and no practitioner here will tell you otherwise.
It is also not a way to skip the unglamorous part of moving in. A session does not replace unpacking, cleaning, or getting the furniture into a layout you actually like. Most people find it works better after that groundwork, not instead of it.
What space clearing actually is
It is an energetic clearing of a home or workspace that feels heavy, unsettled, or simply not yet yours - a previous tenant's mess still hanging in the air, a flat you inherited from a relative, a room where an argument keeps replaying in your head every time you walk in.
The practitioner works through the space with attention, and often with sound, movement or a set sequence room to room, addressing what feels stuck rather than what is visibly there. It is not a cleaning service and nothing gets scrubbed. What changes, if anything, is the feel of the place - most people describe it as lighter, calmer, more settled.
What a session looks like
It starts with a conversation, not a walk-through with a clipboard: what's going on in the space, what happened there before you, what you want it to feel like instead. The practitioner explains what they'll do before they do it.
At Rise Flow Heal, space clearing is one to one, in person, and runs about an hour with Stephanie, who also works with related practices like aura cleansing and chakra balancing. There is nothing you need to believe beforehand and nothing you need to do to prepare.
When people usually book this
Moving into somewhere new is the most common reason, especially a place with a previous tenant's history you know nothing about. After that: moving out of a relationship and wanting the flat to stop feeling like it belongs to two people, a long illness or a hard stretch that seemed to settle into the walls, or inheriting a family home that still feels like someone else's.
None of these need a dramatic story attached. "I just don't feel right in here yet" is a perfectly good reason to book one.
What it will not fix
It will not fix a relationship, a job you hate, or a financial problem, even if those things are what made the flat feel unbearable in the first place. It will not remove a genuinely dangerous or frightening situation - if you are unsafe where you live, that needs a different kind of help, and quickly.
And it is not permanent magic. A space you keep filling with the same stress will drift back toward how it felt before. Most people find the effect holds better when it is paired with the ordinary stuff - clearing actual clutter, opening windows, deciding what a room is actually for.
Something to try today
Pick one room. Open every window in it for ten minutes, even if it's cold outside. While the air moves through, clear one surface completely - a windowsill, a shelf, the top of a dresser - down to nothing, then decide deliberately what, if anything, goes back on it.
It sounds too small to matter. Most people who try it notice the room feels different by the time they close the windows again, which is a smaller, freer version of the same idea a session works with.
Space clearing at Rise Flow Heal is a one-to-one, in-person session with Stephanie at our studio in Tabaris, Beirut - see spiritual healing in Beirut for the full range of her sessions.
