Benefits

  • Many people leave feeling calm and clear-headed, with the day’s stress and mental chatter eased.
  • Release stress and tension held in the body: the breath moves it out while you stay active and present.
  • Energising rather than still: a good fit if sitting quietly has never worked for you.
  • Moves through all seven main chakras in one hour, so the whole body is covered.
  • The rhythmic breathing gives the mind something to follow, which makes it easier to focus.

What to expect

You sit comfortably for the whole session, not lying down. The practitioner guides you from start to finish, so there is nothing to prepare or get right: you follow a rhythmic breathing pattern through the nose while moving, in your mind, through the seven main chakras. Expect to feel energised yet calm and clear-headed by the end. Take a few quiet minutes afterwards before returning to your day.

Frequently asked questions

Who should not do Active Consciousness Meditation?

It is not suitable during pregnancy or with a heart condition, because it uses rhythmic, energising breathing. Message us if you are unsure.

How much does Active Consciousness Meditation cost?

Active Consciousness Meditation costs $20 and lasts 60 min.

Is Active Consciousness Meditation done at the studio or online?

In person, at our studio at 26 Gergi Zeidan Street, Tabaris, Achrafieh, Beirut.

Who leads Active Consciousness Meditation sessions?

Caroline.

I have never meditated or done breathwork. Is that OK?

Yes, it is fine. Sessions are guided from start to finish, so there is nothing to prepare or get right. The practitioner adjusts the pace to how you respond.

My mind never stops. Can I still meditate?

Yes. Nobody can stop thinking, and meditation does not ask you to. The practice is noticing that your mind has wandered and gently coming back. That noticing is the exercise, not a failure.
