Benefits

  • Hatha with more energy: you keep the clear structure but build strength and heat.
  • A practice that warms and wakes the body, good when you want to feel energised.
  • Easier to follow than a flowing vinyasa class, because postures are held before moving on.

What to expect

Classes are levelled, so a first-timer and a regular can be in the same room. Wear something you can move in, bring water, and mention any injury to the teacher before you start. A private Rise & Align - Dynamic Hatha session is paced entirely around you instead of a group.

What should I wear and bring to my first yoga class?

Clothes you can move and bend in, ideally a top that stays put and bottoms without a hard waistband. Yoga is done barefoot. Bring water; our cork mats, blocks, straps, knee pads and bolsters (if you need one) are all provided, so you do not need your own.
